Excellent extensive solubility and high solubility strength
The strong polarity of the carbonyl group endows it with excellent affinity for many polar polymers and resins, while its non-polar cyclohexane structure effectively dissolves non-polar or weakly polar substances. What makes it to be one of the few solvents with broad-spectrum & high-strength, especially on dissolving those resins that difficult to be dissolved.
High boiling point and controllable evaporation rate
Boiling point is around 155℃. Slow evaporation rate makes it particularly suitable for coating that requires extended drying times. Compared with low-boiling-point solvents, such as acetone (boiling point 56℃), it effectively prevents paint film defects (such as whitening, orange peel, and holes) caused by rapid surface drying and ensuring good leveling properties. It has stronger dissolving power than some certain high-boiling-point esters (such as DBE).
Strong stripping and cleaning capabilities
With its high dissolving strength and strong penetration ability towards polymer materials, it can effectively swell and even dissolve solidified polymers. Its stripping ability is much stronger than mineral spirits, diesel, etc., and its toxicity is lower thanhalogenated solvents such as dichloromethane.

Paint and coatings
