Environmental Requirements:

Petroleum resins should be stored in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry environment to prevent degradation caused by exposure to sunlight, rain, and high temperatures.

The storage temperature should be kept between 0°C and 40°C. When the temperature is slightly below 0°C, add clear, saturated salt water to the packaging bag to soak the resin to prevent freezing. High temperatures can easily dehydrate the resin and accelerate its degradation, so it should be stored at low temperatures.

Sealed Storage:

Petroleum resins are flammable and should be kept away from sources of fire.

All liquid polyesters contain crosslinkers such as styrene, which are easily volatile. This volatility not only pollutes the environment but can also easily cause imbalances in the resin components, leading to poor curing. Therefore, sealed storage is essential.

Shelf Life:

Petroleum resins generally have a shelf life of one year. After one year, they should be inspected and, if still acceptable, can be used again.

Special Handling:

If the resin has lost water, do not add water directly. Instead, soak it in clear, saturated salt water and then gradually dilute it with water to wash away the salt.
